Cleanup costs — guidance, not a quote
Trauma and biohazard cleanup is priced after an on-site assessment once the scene is released. These factors move the cost up or down.

What drives the cost
- PPE and containment required for the materials present.
- Scope: one room versus whole-property, including HVAC and soft furnishings.
- Regulated waste packaging, transport and disposal fees.
- Time on site, including multi-day jobs for hoarding or large properties.
- Sanitisation and odour treatment after materials are removed.
- Vehicle access, stairs, freight elevators and after-hours work.
- Whether contents can be cleaned versus listed as a loss.
Insurance
Whether and how much your insurer or landlord policy pays depends on the contract. Photograph only what is safe and allowed after release, and ask for a written scope before work begins.
Why there is no price list here
Two jobs that look similar on paper can need very different PPE, waste streams and time on site, so any fixed price would be guesswork. Public health guidance is linked below.
